Barry is the CEO and Co-Founder of BDO Cloud Services Ltd, a subsidiary of BDO Cyprus. The company was set up specifically to house “BDODrive”, the firm’s innovative, cloud accounting and advisory service offering, whose ultimate purpose is to better serve the local start-up and SME community through the provision of best-in-class technological and professional services and support.
Barry has over 20 years of experience in professional services and has effectively dedicated his entire career to helping and supporting SMEs to achieve their business outcomes. In that time, he has held a number of executive roles, in both industry and practice, including a successful 8 year spell as Group CFO and Board member of an international outsourcing group.
This breadth and depth of experience enables Barry to provide that bigger picture, holistic support and advice that clients truly value, being able to effectively identify, scope and implement, highly impactful solutions for his clients. He typically serves corporates that are well suited to an outsourced arrangement, including start-ups, growing businesses, and those undertaking a restructuring exercise or expanding internationally.
As both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Director, Barry typically advises SMEs on areas of financial management, covering cloud accounting systems and processes, budgeting and forecasting, and management reporting, as well as on matters of a corporate governance nature, including framework reviews, strategic analysis, policy formation, risk management and performance measurement.
